Tyler had a great first season of basketball. He has always loved to play or as he calls it shoot some hoops. He was the tallest kid on his team which gave him a lot of advantages. At this age level the refs don't really call anything. There are kids running with the ball and not dribbling which drove Tyler crazy. Of course Tyler plays ball with his older sister and brother and they don't give him any room for breaking the rules. If he travels or double dribbles they call it a turn over and he has to give the ball up. So needless to say he was a few steps ahead of the other kids.
Tyler was amazing on defense. As you can see in these pictures he didn't give the other kids any room to breathe. He is a very aggressive defensive player. Every game he would block shots and steal the ball. Which at this level wasn't aloud so after he blocked their shots he would apologize and give them the ball back. I had a lot of explaining to do after the first game...why he couldn't play so aggressive and for him not to get so frustrated while the kids learn to dribble.
It was a great season for Tyler. He got over his frustrations quickly and had a fun time. If you come to our house you will almost always find Tyler "shooting hoops" in the driveway.

That is so funny! I can see how that would be very frustrating for him! Way to go Tyler!
You're awesome, Ty! And I love the picture of he and Spencer together at the bottom, so cute!
