The Happiest Place On Earth

Yesterday we decided to go to Disneyland. I am trying to get all of my money out of my season pass. Our pass expires in December so I am sure we will go one more time for all of the Christmas decorations. Let me tell you Disney does it right when it comes to decorating they hold nothing back. I have never been during Halloween time it was amazing how they can transform the park from holiday to holiday.

This is the first time we decided to take Jake. Of course we always knew that he would love it, but were a little apprehensive taking a 2 year old and still making sure the older kids had a fun time. So we decided to enlist the help of Grandma Sue. I guess I was not the only one that had that brilliant idea so did my sister Wendy. So we made a family affair of it. Jake had fun he loved seeing all of the characters . I took him on Matterhorn and he didn't cry but he was sure scared and didn't want to go on that ride again. His favorite ride was the new Toy Story Mania ride. You just sat in a car that moved around while you shot targets. Now that was for sure right up his alley.
The day was very pleasant the lines were on average about 10 minutes and the kids even the 3 toddlers were awesome and very well behaved. Thanks Grandma for all of your help you really made the day very enjoyable.

Halloween Party

Monday for Family Night we were able to go to a very fun Halloween Party. The kids had a great time getting together with all of their friends. All of us parents decided it would be fun to have a party so the kids would be able to dress up in their costumes for more than one night. We all enjoyed a yummy dinner and then the real fun began. The kids took turns to see who was the fastest one to eat their doughnut off the string without using their hands. The Hansens had everyone beat. Next the kids decorated cookies and the Dad's judged them for some cool prizes. After all that we had a fun game of pin the mouth on the jack-o-lantern. Thanks to everyone for a great night and a sugar rush that will last the kids until the next one on Halloween.

Pumpkin Patch

I love the pumpkin patch even if it is hot every year. There is something about watching the kids inspect every little detail about each pumpkin to make sure that they chose the absolute best pumpkin out there.

The last 2 years we have gone to this great little pumpkin patch by our house. They grow pumpkins all the way up the side of the hill, and the kids favorite part is to run all the way to the top and back. I love it because it wears them out. Well its supposed to right?

All the kids decided to get in a wheelbarrow and Mike took them for a ride. They were laughing so hard. I guess Mike drives a wheelbarrow the same crazy way he drives his car FAST! Jake kept on saying faster Daddy faster.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

HOT!

So this afternoon I went looking for Jake and what a surprise he was outside naked with the hose. I am now sure that October is the warmest month of the year. All this week we have had the Santa Ana winds and temperatures in the high 90's. The kids keep asking me when we are going to go to the pumpkin patch. My response is still the same as soon as it actually feels like fall. Well seeing how Halloween is next week we will have to go in the heat.

So I guess Jake was hot and decided to take it upon himself to cool off. He just makes me laugh. He was very creative and dumped out all of the balls out of the bucket so he could make himself a little pool. Hopefully next time he will decide to wear trunks, but knowing Jake that will never happen.

Wicked

Mike's Mom came down with her 2 sisters Aunt Debbie and Aunt Margaret to surprise Brooke and take her to see the play Wicked at the Pantages Theater. She was soooo excited!

I have been wanting to take Brooke to see it for a long time. I knew that she
would just love it. My sister Aunt Wendy gave her the soundtrack for her birthday last February and she has listened to it almost every morning since then.

We all went and had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and then headed to Hollywood for the show. I loved sitting next to Brooke during the show and watching her face in complete amazement. She was having so much fun. During the intermission she leaned over and told me this was one the best nights of her life.
Thanks Grandma Kay!

A Look Back at '08 ..... January

For Christmas this past year we got the kids season passes to Disneyland. It has been by far the best gift we have given to the kids. Spencer had only been once when he was 3 and Tyler and Jake had never been. Mike and I had a blast just watching the kids faces every time we turned it was something new and amazing. As a parent there is nothing sweeter than seeing complete and absolute joy on your kids faces.

Tyler made us all laugh. I did not really know what to expect with him whether he would be a little scared or not. Tyler had absolutely no fear on any of the rides. It could have been the fastest roller coaster or the smallest toddler ride he had his hands up on all of them.

Happy 10th Birthday Brookie

There is not enough awesome things to say about Brooke. She has been the dream daughter to have and to raise. I must of done something pretty darn good to have been blessed to be her mom. She is a straight A student, great athlete in soccer and basketball, good piano player, and the best daughter and sister out there.
Everyone loves Brooke!

Happy 8th Birthday Spencer

Spencer has always been such a great kid. He makes us laugh almost on a daily basis. He is a great example to his younger brothers and is always looking out for them. Spencer is awesome he excels at everything he does whether it is academically or in sports. I feel very blessed to be his mom. I can't believe how fast time is flying by.

SEAY FAMILY REUNION

It had been a long time since all of the Seay side of the family had gotten together so we all attempted to find a time when everyone would be able to make it. We missed Jon, Marnie and their kids as well as Dave and Alex, but we were able to have all of Dave's kids there. Thanks to Mom and Dad Seay for arranging all of the accomidations and Rick and Kathy who planned just about everything. I can't speak for everyone, but my family had a blast. Rick and Kathy have a house and a boat in Lake Havasu so that is how it all began.
We all enjoyed spending time with everyone and the kids really had a great time getting to know some of their cousins better. Brooke and McKenna were inseperable, and all the girls were really helpful with Jake and making sure he was having fun too. We quickly learned it was very easy to entertain Jake. All you had do was supply him with a large body of water and a whole lot of rocks.

We were on the water every day we were there. Luckily Uncle Rick had a boat and one day thanks to Grandma Kay and Papa Seay they rented another boat. Mike and Kathy had fun water skiing while the rest of us went for a wet and wild ride on the inner tube. Tyler is still asking me on a weekly basis when we get to go back to Lake Havasu. Thanks for a great trip and fun memories.

April

Spencer got Baptized April 12,2008
He is such a cutie! Spencers baptism was awesome. We are so blessed to have such a supportive family on both my side as well as Mikes. Spencer took on the same challenge that we gave Brooke to read the entire Book of Mormon before he was baptized. He finished it in plenty of time. We were so proud of him that was a huge accomplishment that many adults have yet to accomplish. Spencer has one of the most kind gentle spirits that I have ever seen. He is so thoughtful and is an awesome brother.
