Ok so I have gotten way behind on my blog. Simply because the thought of blogging our trip to Spain is a bit overwhelming. I have sat down numerous times to start a post about our trip and I get lost in all of the awesome pictures...more than 600 pictures to be exact. I have decided that I just have to start and hopefully finish :)

(Brooke and Spencer's first time in an airplane...)Mike and I have been saving our airline miles ever since we've been married, and suddenly we had the perfect use for them. Mike's parents had been wanting to take a trip to Spain and they have a wonderful time share. Everyone got thinking and a plan evolved...We're going to Spain!
Seville

Seville was pretty amazing. We walked everywhere it was fun to explore the city streets.
Seville Cathedral
We went to the largest gothic cathedral in the world.
All around the cathedral were tiny intricate designs and pictures carved in the stone. The ceilings were very high and there were arches everywhere. Throughout the cathedral there were small individual rooms that were titled and a brief description was written.

There was a ton of gold plating for decoration. Brooke commented that it was very dark and that it gave her a weird feeling. She was used to churches being bright and having only good feelings. I thought that was very interesting that she picked up on that.

The Cathedral was very cool and something we'll never forget.
The Alcazar Palace
This is the oldest royal residence in Europe still in use. We had never been to a palace before so we were very excited. It was huge with countless rooms and gardens. Spencer said this would be the perfect place for hide n seek. Mike really enjoyed all of the stone work on the walls and the mosaic floors. One of my favorite parts were all of the ceilings. Every room was different and unique.
The gardens at the Alcazar were such a vibrant green and so gorgeous. We explored a lot of the gardens and we ran into a peacock which the kids loved. They had to have a picture with it so we chased him for a while :)
I still cant believe that we did all of this in our first day in Spain.
We were all a little tired.

Adrienne it was awesome! We took our 2 oldest kids and I'm really happy we did they loved it and it was an unforgettable experience for them.
And Tera yes I'm finally trying to catch up...but hat that this post is all messed up with spacing and it wont let me fix it. So frustrating -
